2007 JUNIOR HORSE INCENTIVE CLASS

Junior horse shall be defined by the following:

Horse Qualifications:

Any horse, 5 years of age or younger as of December 1, 2006 and has not won money or awards as of that same date.

Nomination:

Nomination fee of $35.00 can be paid on December 1, 2006 or before horse has been competed on for money or awards after December 1, 2006. Nomination must be paid before points in incentive class will count. Nomination must be submitted to and approved by the District Director before points can be counted in incentive class. District Director will have discretion and right of denial of any application for nomination. A photocopy of registration papers or a veterinarian statement is required to nominate. (This is to document age of horse, not ownership) Nomination is on rider and horse. No rider substitutions.

Rider Qualifications:

Rider must be a current member in good standing with NBHA & be a District 05 member. Rider can only nominate 2 horses. It is rider’s responsibility to advise secretary of what horse is being ridden at time of entry. Failure to identify nominated horse or changing riding order of nominated horse will result in points not being captured in the INCENTIVE class for that particular race.

Format:

The class will be run in conjunction with the regular NBHA OPEN class. There will be a fee of $5.00 per entry for times to be rolled over to the Incentive class. Incentive class will be a straight run race, (not a divisional format) with the fastest time of the Incentive class to set the pace of the Incentive race. There will be no money paid out in the Incentive class. Fees will go towards awards for the Incentive class. Points will be given from 10 down to 1. There will be no points awarded to “NO TIMES”.
