Enough to Wear Pink” As
you all know, Wrangler has been a major sponsor of NBHA for many years. Their
interest in barrel racing and generosity to our organization helps with all
of the
NBHA SHOWS AND THE Wrangler All Star Program gives our members 200 free
pair of jeans per year. In
2005 Wrangler started a campaign to fight breast cancer. It is no secret in barrel racing
that the numbers of competitors are slanted towards women. Yet, all of us (men
and women) have had someone we love and care about affected by this very treatable
disease. At
the Wrangler NFR held in Everyone
was asked to wear pink, including the announcers. NBHA
has pledged to support awareness and fight breast cancer alongside
Wrangler. Therefore, the Friday night
4D Sweepstakes will be our “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night
at the by
wearing pink on Friday night. Also,
the proceeds from the “Tough Enough” raffle
tickets will go towards the fight against breast cancer. Additionally,
NBHA is looking for stories to publish in Barrel Horse News of how this
disease has touched your life. We
would appreciate the names of any members who
are cancer survivors who would not mind being interviewed. We
