jackpots in September at the OK CORRAL in Harrah this Saturday. Exhibitions @ 11:00,
class is @ 2:00. Rain or Shine we will be running. Thank goodness for indoor arenas. Non Member fee waived, $100.00 added to the Open. The next
jackpot is September 29th. We are giving the HIGH MONEY earner
of the 2 jackpots in the Open, a beautiful leather halter with silver

If anyone is interested, please take a
look. We had 18 horses in the Incentive class this last season and we gave a top 10 awards. I hope to give awards
to every horse that is nominated and

DISTRICT 05 MAY 2007 NEWSLETTER I want to congratulate everyone who competed in the STATE FINALS @ Ardmore!! District 5 won the District Challenge AGAIN!! Based on our participation and the amount of awards that were presented, District 5 was first place. I am so proud of you all!! We had a blast while in It has been commented how our district always has a good time and is so supportive of each other. That makes us very special. I do have an announcement to make. Lisa Johnston is stepping down as the State Director. She asked Jerry and me if we would take the position. We thought long and hard about it and we have decided to take it. We are still going to keep the District 5. With the help that we get from all of you, we feel that we can continue to be your district director and also meet the responsibilities of the state director. I feel very honored that she would ask us to fill her shoes. It is a huge job, but it is an exciting job. I am looking forward to next year. Now for District business, I feel that District 5 is in great shape this year. The participation is amazing. I would ask though, if you as a member can help with donations and sponsorships, it would be greatly appreciated. I have found a great deal on saddles for this year. Before, our sponsorships have been $700.00 for saddles. If you could find a sponsor that would donate $550.00, that would meet our need for a saddle sponsor. This would include a banner for advertisement. Our banner sponsorship is $150.00. Also, remember our work requirement. To pick up year end awards, you will need to work at least 2 jackpots for 35 runs. Not a lot and it really helps.
